People dress the way they want at conventions such as comic con or just in general but the clothing they wear isn't the consent for these kinds of actions!

Very important! Just because you really like that character, or the cosplayer is wearing revealing clothes, it doesn't equal consent to touch them without permission!

My full support goes to you. Wishing for a successful outcome and I am so sorry for everyone who has been harassed, regardless of the situation.

The fact that people think that just because a cosplay is portraying a certain character and think that they're entitled to treat the cosplayer as the character would be treated in the comics/show/series/etc., is sickening. Cosplayers are humans. Cosplayers have boundaries. Cosplayers should be treated as a human.

Such a big event should have HUGE versions of these signs as big as the event signs are themselves. They need to be everywhere, not just at the entrance (which sometimes you can go through) I myself have never been harassed but i know plenty who have and it has to stop.

This happens too much around the States as well ! I hope we can soon get the convention life back to a safe and fun environment ^^

Having been groped without consent at a con, myself. I am with this 100% it is sexual assault and it is very upsetting.

It's simple and self explanatory. And why one of the organisers doesn't support it is beyond me.

I'd probably add "Sexual Harassment is punishable by law"

We are cosplaying to pay homage to our favorite characters not to be eye candy for the masses! This goes for either gender, a little ribbing among friends if fine but if a cosplayer is not personally known to you then don;t assume they are going to be ok with what is essentially sexual assault! Please and thank you!

It is really sad that this kind of thing is needed in this day and age. I back this whole heartedly.

Once again, the idiot minority ruins it for the Innocent-Majority. Also, they should be clear, visible signs saying this.

As a Cosplay fan myself I totally agree with this. Respect should be given to any and and all who decide to pay homage to their favourite character .
