'Cosplay is not consent' signs to be placed around MCM expo

Having witnessed and heard stories of people acting inappropriately this should happen. People need to be made aware of this both to stop it and to get it reported. Too many incidents go unreported.

As a former Con goer and minor cosplayer. I completely agree. Cosplay is not consent ! ! ! If you don't have permission don't touch ! ! !

In Russia we do not tolerate this. I have been to comicon all around world and this is problem!

Harassment isn't allowed in the street, it shouldn't be allowed at ComicCon!

As a female Cosplayer who has been harassed at conventions on more than one occasion I feel this is very important!!

This is a basic, but sometimes forgotten rule. Time to remind certain people and make others feel safer in their happy place.

It is important that cosplayers are made to feel safe. No clothing is consent, so why should cosplaying be?

As a tall and potentially intimidating male cosplayer, I have never experienced this kind of thing, but it is vitally important that the cosplay community at MCM Expos remains safe for all. People need to learn to keep their hands off other people, or I'll personally hack them off with whatever cosplay weapon I'm wielding.

I have been grabbed on the hips and pushed out the way by a male at MCM Birmingham November in the hallway outside the con, I was stood only a few feet from a wall and the man decided to walk behind me and move me just so he could touch me rather than walk around my small group like everyone else, what made it worse is that his friend how walked around us cheered him on afterwards. I honestly didn't want to attend the next day as I was scared it would happen again.

At no point should anyone cosplaying at these events feel uncomfortable. I love to go to cons and see all the amazing work people put into their cosplays, and I feel disgusted whenever I hear stories of cosplayers getting rude comments and such. I'm all for taking picture of cosplays, but please, ask permission first and be respectful.

I honestly didn't want to attend the next day as I was scared it would happen again.
