Support the work by SongBird Survival and The Game & Wildife Conservation Trust. Fully experimental scientific research into whether crows and magpies are affecting songbird and other small bird numbers. No one has ever done work like this before - if we don't do it how will we know what to do for the future of our environment - for the future of our children and our grandchildren. Nothing suggested in the methodology is against the law. Yes, it will involve culling magpies and crows - but not exerminating them! Killing anything is not very nice - but nor is having our small birds, their eggs and fledglings eaten by these other birds. This research is very important and we need your support to ensure that it happens. There are some uneducated people out there who think this is not a good idea and are petitioning against it - we need to combat their ignorance. Please sign to show your support for the research.

Thank you all who has signed so far and thank you to the supporters of SongBird Survival who have passed my message on for me. I have even had an email from the SongBird Survival office to thank me for my support for their work; I will be joining them as a member today also.

I have finalized a formal correspondence to the primary research coordinators at SongBird Survival to formally present the list of signatories. We are monitoring the counter-petition closely to prepare a factual rebuttal of their claims for the relevant regulatory boards.

The increase in support has provided the necessary leverage to finalize our meeting request with the project coordinators at the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust. I am now drafting a formal briefing document to outline our priorities for the proposed research trial.

FINALLY someone is actually doing something about this. My garden used to be full of life now it's just crows everywhere. About time we had some facts.
The magpies in my garden are getting out of control. I barely see any songbirds anymore. Something needs to be done about the numbers.
