The voice of the people is the voice of God. We shall not live in fear nor shall we not fear to live, as we encounter fear in our everyday lives, Somalis in South Africa have suffered enough and never shall we allow them to suffer more under weak, corrupt, ineffective, inefficient diplomats in our South African Mission, who don’t know there role as diplomats.

As Somali residence in South Africa and community leaders, we have the tyranny of numbers and support to mobilize our masses, it’s the right time we petition our government and the respective Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the wise leadership of Dr. Abdirahman Duale Beileh.

The inauguration of President Jacob Zuma and the attendance of our President HE Hassam Sheikh Mohamud was a blessing as our leaders left knowing that there is a rampant corruption, discontentment and public outcry, they left knowing that there is a sort of Berlin Wall separating the Embassy officials and the general public.

As Community leaders, we reaffirm to our community members our promises of never failing or forsaking them, especially a time like this, when our support and advocacy is highly needed and their integrity and being is in question.
