RELATIVES OF CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO TAKE THEM WITHOUT A COURT HEARING!! I am the grandmother of a child that was put into foster care in Glenns Falls NY, Warren County. The Department of Social Services and Protection services had me go through a nightmare in court only to deny my rights to take my granddaughter. Their lame excuse....I had too much animosity towards the mother...Did they think I wanted to sing kumbaya around the campfire with her after she had just stabbed my son with a knife in the presence of my granddaughter??? My defence: I would tolerate her for the sake of my granddaughter like I had been doing before all this happened.

I have heard that there are other Foster Care Systems all over the United States that does this same thing to the relatives of these children and some of the children put into foster care wrongfully to begin with. I think some people do abuse their children and the child is better off in foster care, but not all foster homes are safe. There is abuse that goes on there too.

All of these FOSTER CARE SCAMS are happening because The Adoption and the Safe Families Act, set in motion by President Bill Clinton, offered cash “bonuses” to the states for every child they adopted out of foster care. In order to receive the “adoption incentive bonuses” local child protective services need more children. They must have merchandise (children) that sell and you must have plenty of them so the buyer can choose. Some counties are known to give a $4,000 bonus for each child adopted and an additional $2,000 for a “special needs” child. Employees work to keep the federal dollars flowing. The funding continues as long as the child is out of the home. When a child in foster care is placed with a new family then “adoption bonus funds” are available. When a child is placed in a mental health facility and is on 16 drugs per day, more funds are involved. There are no financial resources and no real drive to unite a family and help keep them together. The incentive for social workers to return children to their parents or relatives quickly after taking them has disappeared and who in protective services will step up to the plate and say, “This must end! NO ONE, because they are all in the system together.

My granddaughter was almost adopted out because they wrongfully accused my son of the neglect...even though he was the only sober one caring for her that awful night. He was put through a court battle so that New York could keep the child and get the money out of her instead of our own state. What a conspiracy that was!!!
