I honestly did not think this would gain any traction at all and seeing the names pile up is totally surreal because it means other people feel this same pit in their stomach about our schools. I was pacing around my kitchen just thinking about how hard it is to actually change these archaic rules but now I see there is a real path forward and I am so grateful to everyone who took a second to look at this.

Teachers need to learn how to manage a classroom without violence. Totally backwards way of teaching.
This is ridiculous. My tax dollars shouldnt pay for someone to hit my child. Stop this now.
its 2017 why is this even still a thing? hitting kids is never okay. keep our kids safe.
Bout time someone did something about this. SC needs to get with the times.
Used to happen back when I was a kid and it was wrong then too. End it already.

HEARTBREAKING. No child should be scared to go to school.
