We are sending this petition to the California office of the Governor and the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors along with it’s health officials. Please do not donate money after signing this petition. That contribution is for the web based business ipetitions.com and your funds will not be used to further our cause. We are requesting the immediate creation and executive order for an eviction and mortgage moratorium to waive evictions and penalties for renters and property owners of residential and commercial properties affected by business closures and lost wages including the self-employed due to the city, county, state and national emergency. Furthermore, we ask the State and the counties listed for shelter in place to add a repayment timeline of at least 3 months if this emergency lasts for more than 30 days, 6 months if this emergency lasts for more than 60 days and a year if this emergency lasts for more than 90 days. We endorse the acceptance of a repayment timeline because it is a vitally important subdivision of the moratorium and/or penal code 396, subdivision (f). We acknowledge Governor Newsom’s executive order extending the protections set forth in penal code 396, subdivision (f) until may 31, 2020 and the authority granted to local governments (i.e., counties & cities). However, this order does not address commercial properties, nor does it set forth securities of a repayment timeline. A repayment timeline is necessary while considering past due rent and mortgages owed. This is a fair request and the least that can be done to aid our communities and citizens in this crisis. Many citizens are facing evictions or foreclosures of residential and commercial properties. Those in charge should be ashamed and voted out of office if these measures are not taken seriously and acted upon swiftly. Again, please do not donate or contribute directly to this petition via this website after signing unless you feel led to support this web based business. Those funds go solely to ipetitions.com and will not be used to further our endeavor. Thank you and may God Bless.
The emails pouring in about lost wages and closed businesses are eye-opening. We are currently preparing to present these real-world accounts directly to the Board of Supervisors.

I only am signing my right to have my rent not charged for a late fee. Nothing more. I got am signing this because the company I work for is closed. And I have cancer. So I am asking for my information to only be used for this petition.
