Try explaining to a Dubliner that if (s)he wanted to fly to, say, Zurich or Prague that all (s)he'd have to do is take a 3 1/2 hour bus ride to Cork and maybe a hotel overnight and the same on the way back! Imagine their incomprehension

It is SUCH a pain having to go to Dublin for so many flights. AND to collect foreign visitors. We really need more direct flights in and out of Cork

One of the reasons I am looking at moving away from Cork, a city I love, is because of the rapidly-diminishing services to and from Cork Airport, and the failure to provide a proper intercity road network. Come and do business in Cork? Sure, how will you even get here in a few years time, at the rate things are going?

commerciality can only thrive with good connectivity.... the most southerly located airport in Ireland is not being used to its full potential because of political / commercial inertia .

I have family in Berlin. With no flights it is very difficult to visit them and for them to return to Ireland.

Firstly, Cork Airport needs year round flights, not just seasonal.
Having used the Cork/Berlin flight when previously operating for both direct visits to Berlin and also access to eastern Europe, I strongly support the call to reinstate this important route from Cork Airport.
There should also be direct flights from Cork Airport to Greece and Italy year round.

I don't fly to Cork (alas) but I would love to see as many people from the Republic of Cork as possible here in Berlin! There is surely a deficit!
