Connections to major European capitals are needed to promote and to achieve Cork's objectives to become an international business hub, a tourist destination and attract high quality talent.

And you might add Milan, Rome, Copenhagen, Geneva (not just for rich skiers in January) Edinburgh, Belfast, Dublin... - could we just have some year round planes to Europe ?

This air travel route is critically important, giving access for business and private travel between southwest of Ireland and the German capital which would Otherwise be difficult and time consuming to get to.

The development of Asian Studies at UCC would benefit highly from a direct link to Berlin, where Germany's only Graduate School of Asian Studies is located.

Cork is the second city of Ireland and the biggest in the South. The city should be directly linked to as many European capital cities as possible for the good of the whole of the South of Ireland.

The Dublin flights to Berlin are always busy . More than half the amount of passengers on each flight are not even from the greater Dublin area. THree to Four flights leave Dublin every day via Berlin. I would like to see this flight brought back to Cork. Unfortunately Aer Lingus did not spend a lot of money and time advertising this route from Cork last time around! Iam a "Berliner" and also a frequent flyer of that route from Dublin. Bring this route back for the sake of Cork Airport and its total lack in proper connections to Mainland Europe!
