Greetings everyone! My name is Coriann McMillen and I would be honored to represent the single JD 2L class as Vice President. Since being admitted in to law school, I have been an active member of the Black Law Student Association, the Wolverine Bar Association, and the Straker Bar Association. Since February, I have served as the 1L Class Treasurer. Being in that role has taught me how to navigate as a leader in the legal community.

I graduated from Central Michigan University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a criminal justice focus. During my senior year in college, I interned at a criminal defense law firm, where I accompanied an attorney at trials, took detailed notes during trial that the attorney later used in cross examinations, and communicated with the families during trial for moral support.

I have over three years of experience in legal related fields. Taking into account what I already know and the things I am willing to learn, I will use it to serve you as your SBA 2L class Vice President. I will see to it that I lead in the most effective way possible.

It is my hope that you all will allow me to serve our class. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
