Copper Mountain WSA

As a resident of Fremont County, I respectfully implore continued protections for Copper Mountain WSA. These lands and watersheds are important to wildlife corridor connectivity and tribal cultural resources. As a wilderness study area, the Copper Mountain WSA represents some of the last, wild public lands in Fremont County that adjoin the Wind River Reservation. These lands should continue to remain free of ORVs and destructive human activity. I personally place a large economic value on wilderness and outdoor recreation in WY.

Please reject the proposed idea to open Copper Mountain to Atv's and motorcycles

Please consider carefully what opening this can of worms could mean to the fragile land that the landowners have worked so hard to maintain and preserve for the livestock and wildlife that call it home. We ask that you not move forward with this plan.

I worked on the Axtell ranch when I was in High School and Copper Mountain is a great place. We need to honor the landowners on that mountain and be grateful to have a road to go to Birdseye Pass. Please make sure it stays the way it is.

I have hunted, trail riden, and worked cattle on Copper Mtn. It should remain as is and not opened up to people that have respect for its beauty and value to ranchers that live in Wyoming.

My family was raised on the Mountain, would be a shame to see it torn up.

Please keep as is. My husband and I were up there two weeks ago. It is beautiful. We do not want to see motorcycle trails or ATV trails everywhere. Also the wild life is starting to come back "deer". Also there are Indian paint brush everywhere, I have never seen so many in one place, they are beautiful, please don't take all that beauty and wdlife away. Thank you

We must keep some of our land as God intended it. This will be very detrimental to our wildlife, it will cause erosion and much more. We have tons of places designated to recreate. Please leave this one alone!!!

I grew up near there. I have many fond memories of the land and would hate to see it turned into a state like Co

Why destroy beauty? People have to destroy things just for a few to get rich.

WY is fortunate to have numerous ORV areas. What true wilderness still exists is truly necessary to protect the remaining wildlife. I would prefer Copper Mountain WSA remain as is and not permit ORVs.

This land has been treasured to my family for generations and I dont see how opening it up for destruction and disruption will be in the best interest for the land, the wildlife or the people in the surrounding areas who call it home.
