The commissioners finally backed down and voted to protect Copper Mountain from the ORV proposal. It has been a long and draining fight but I am relieved we kept this land wild. Stay alert because we need to ensure this remains a permanent reality.

Copper Mountain Wilderness Study Ares is under threat to an Off Road Vehicle Playground. If you would like to see Copper Mountain WSA remain as it is! Then let the Fremont County Public Lands Initiative and the Fremont County Commissioners know you don't want to see ORVs on it! We would rather see it remain a Wilderness.

The pressure from the county continues to weigh on us but the silence from the commissioners is telling. I have been spending my nights digging through land use documents to prepare for the upcoming hearings. We are exhausted by this fight yet we refuse to let them pave over this mountain.

Reaching this point has been an exhausting climb but the momentum is finally shifting in our favor. I am tired of fighting this battle alone and seeing your names attached to this cause reminds me that we might actually pull this off.

Save this pristine area from the horrors of off road vehicles. The ranching families have been excellent stewards of the land for over 100 years. Allow them to continue to utilize and protect this treasure.
I have hunted, trail riden, and worked cattle on Copper Mtn. It should remain as is and not opened up to people that have respect for its beauty and value to ranchers that live in Wyoming.
This land has been treasured to my family for generations and I dont see how opening it up for destruction and disruption will be in the best interest for the land, the wildlife or the people in the surrounding areas who call it home.
With the majority of public land open to OHV use we could afford a few quiet places to contemplate the natural world. In addition numerous peer reviewed sources have demonstrated that increased road densities lead to lower hunter success. Thanks for your time and open mind.
Keep Copper Mountain protected from the damage of OHV use. We visit the area and WY in general for its natural beauty, wide open spaces and quiet serenity. There are plenty of areas for OHV use and if they cleaned them up, they wouldn't need more area to tear up!
Wyoming is my favorite state to visit. Please keep it like it is!!!
My dad owns a small horse farm here in New Jersey and I’m not into it really but can appreciate it’s beauty.Wyoming must be gorgeous and should leave the land alone.Here in NJ too much has been built up and when is enough,enough?

I live on copper Mtn Birdseye pass and do not think this would be beneficial to anybody! More traffic, more trash . More land being tore up . It would also increase the fire probability on the mountain itself
