Started by Junior Girl Scout Troop 3246 GSNTEX 12 years, 3 months ago

We are a 5th Grade Junior Girl Scout Troop from Coppell, Texas working on our Bronze Award. We want to make our community safer for kids who go to Coppell Middle School North (CMSN) and people who visit Andy Brown Park in Coppell.

We would like to have a footbridge built between Andy Brown Park and CMSN to help the students cross Natches Trace.

We would also like to have solar lights installed in the tunnels that lead to Andy Brown Park. Lights in the underpasses will make it safer for people to walk and ride their bikes to Andy Brown Park.

We believe that kids and adults who travel to CMSN, to Andy Brown Park from the Denton Creek neighborhood, and who use the tunnels that lead to Andy Brown Park will have a safer way to travel.

We plan to help raise money to support this project.

Natches Trace is way too busy. Kids darting across there is a disaster waiting to happen. Good job girls.

My daughter walks that route and I worry every single day. A bridge is such a great idea.

About time someone did something about this. The city should have put lights in years ago.

Those tunnels are super creepy at night. Definitely need some lights in there for the kids walking home.

Please fix this. It is impossible to see people inside those tunnels once the sun goes down.
