Coop-eration Let's Free the Hens

I support allowing Hens in Maumee.

As a teacher, mom, and environmentally concerned citizen, I strongly support the raising of backyard hens in our city.

I support the responsible keeping of chickens within city limits.

Hens not roosters can be a brilliant teaching aid for children learning about nutrition, where food comes from and food production, not only that it also teaches compassion for animals, responsibility and inspires them to forge bonds , learn how to be somewhat self sufficient and raises awareness for animal welfare .

This would be great in many ways for the families and children of Maumee. Not to mention the other enclosed reasoning.

Please allow chickens. With strict guidelines, they're no worse than dogs.
