this project is a no brainer and should be prioritised. if you build it they will come. Tourism, health, sport and the local economy will boom. The north west will be the adventure capital on the wild Atlantic way. As the Nike add says just do it

Many of the trail centres are east side of Ireland. it would be great to have something in the west. Sligo is close to Donegal and Derry and will bring a lot of traffic from souranding areas and further afield. the expansive trails will suit all kinds of abilities and cater for all mtb'ers. this could shape up to be the best trails in Ireland and the UK.

The proposed Coolaney National Bike Park represents an efficient and focussed use of public funds which will help meet the huge unmet demand for biking activities in the North West. The project will take advantage of untapped natural resources, complement efforts in other areas such as hiking and watersports and further enhance Sligo's growing reputation as an international adventure destination to the benefit of visitors and locals alike.
