The Cooke County Youth Fair board members voted to move our show to NCTC barn instead of the new Cooke County barn (which was built for the sole purpose of providing indoor shows that keep us out of the wind, rain, and cold) without telling us parents about these changes. We're thinking of our youth and their animals. Who has an outdoor show during the winter? Make it indoors!

I HAVE BEEN SPENDING MY ENTIRE WEEK TALKING TO OTHER PARENTS AND THE STORIES YOU ARE SHARING ABOUT THE FRIGID CONDITIONS ARE COMPLETELY HEARTBREAKING!! THIS DECISION TO MOVE OUTDOORS IS A TOTAL DISASTER FOR THE ANIMALS AND THE KIDS WHO WORK SO HARD ALL YEAR!! I AM CURRENTLY DEMANDING A MEETING WITH THE BOARD TO GET THIS FIXED IMMEDIATELY!!

THIS MOMENTUM IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! PEOPLE ARE FINALLY PAYING ATTENTION TO THE NEEDS OF OUR YOUTH AND ANIMALS DURING THE WINTER SHOWS!!

Please reconsider moving the CCYF Horse Show back to the CCFG. The CCFG barn provides appropriate facilities from restrooms, stadium seating, concessions, contolled environment to the show ring for participants & spectactors alike. Thank you in advance for consideration of this petition.
The show last year was perfect. Indoors and lots of room for trailers to park. Arena footing was better than the college. Unbelievable that the 4H members were not made aware of this change. We would have not entered had we known the show was moved back to college.
As a former Cooke County 4-H Leader and a business owner, I believe very strongly in supporting our youth in any way possible. This includes freely allowing our youth the use of any Cooke County Facility that would benefit their growth, development and future. I also strongly believe the use of the Fair Grounds should be at the top of the priority list of the Fair Board. Thank you, Jennifer Hale
Nctc is a great arena, but there is no seating for parents and friends of the youth involved. Why did the county spend all the moneu to build a county show barn if no one is going to use? Seems pointless, and am disappointed in the decision to move the show.
I believe that it would be more beneficial for the equine youth to have their show at the Cooke County Fairgrounds. Considering the show is during the winter months and during harsh weather the CCFG offers the amenities to protect youth and animals from the weather and offers an abundance of amenities that are not offered at the other facility .
As WRC Rodeo Queen I love the enclosed area at the new county barn: I hope the show is moved back there!

Please consider moving the youth fair horse show back to the Cooke County Fairgrounds Barn. This facility provides the necessary accommodations that our youth need to stay safe, as well as comfortable, during a winter show. There is ample space for everyone to stay out of the elements while waiting to participate in their classes, plenty of bleacher space for spectators, and a concession area, all of which the NCTC facility is lacking. I wish the youth of our county and their parents would have been given a say in the decision prior to now. Thank you.
