Libraries can have a significant future with a little dynamic thinking. Hubs for information and community support . Any decent local council will be looking to invest in and secure their future.

Libraries remain vital places for our children and our communities to gather and enjoy access to books. It is a basic human right to have access to new ideas and to books that they may not ordinarily be able to afford.

My mother and i use this library on a regulsr basis and would be lost without it cant wait for them to open back up buying books is expensive and no where to put them so its a waste. Borrowing is so much better for us

Stop diluting services by merging them. Whenever I have been in Colwyn Bay library is has never been empty. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Removing libraries reduces community cohesion especially when the high streets have already lost banks and post offices.

Take away a sanctuary of peace, education and intellectual freedom to roam......and you'll end up with a society that was denied those things. This is not healthy. This is not aspirational. Libraries are a storehouse of conversations between some of the greatest minds in history, and any local reader. Not everybody can use the internet to its full extent, and in any case, research on a tiny screen sucks. I could never have completed an MA in the arts without a full size printed image in my actual hand!

Access to brilliant books and knowledgable librarians for free should be a basic human right and is certainly key to social and mental welfare and future economic success. Stop closing public libraries!

Seems that this is just an excuse to obtain the building for office workers when it was originally funded for public use

Part of the pleasure of this library is being a sanctuary from the world. Coed Pella is not that.

As a teenager I used that library. I want teenagers today to have at least as good access to knowledge as I had if not better. Library are freedom.

The library a valuable community asset that needs to be protected and not closed down. Not everyone has internet or Kindle, so keeping the library open is still important.
