CCBC have spent hundreds of thousands of pounds renting an empty building in Mochdre yet want to close our much loved and well used library to save money....really?!

Libraries need character not just a big space.
Parking would also be a huge problem at coed pella if the library was moved there

If they can spend all that money on Porth Eirias, they can maintain this library. Do better CCBC!

This library is a vital community facility.. It is a stunning building and unlikely to br utiised in the same way at Coed Pella. We must all support our libraries-once they are gone it will be too late.

it has been part of colwyn bay’s history, i remember getting my first membership card for it at the age of 14, my name took me down there to enrol, it helped me pass my exams

Please don't close. Even though we have the Internet, there is no better way to learn how to read and spell from a book. The more you read the better you can spell. Also a book is something more personal than looking at a screen.

Our iconic & beautiful library is full of soul, unlike the huge faceless monstrosity in Coed Pella road. Perfectly reflects the calmness within its hallowed walls. Please preserve it for the purpose for which it was built.

It would be such a shame for the library to close as we have used it for years for the children and ourselves

Please don't close the library. It was a life saver for me, as a child, living in a very unhappy family. My library books were my escape.

I spent a VERY large portion of childhood and adolescent years here browsing shelves and reading, it is an important and historical building iconic to Colwyn Bay and should remain whatever the cost. Moving to a soul less cold building will not encourage the youth of today to visit and read.
