I agree if you kill a child as Maddox was killed they should receive a 1st degree murder charge.

Anybody who can take his own child's life does not deserve to be called a father and should be convicted with first degree murder. He does not deserve to live.

I agree full possible punishment of the law and yes that includes change and once done he follows. Baby murder and rape is disgusting and should not be rewarded by and undeserving sentence or ever possible parole. Something needs to happen to change the law and make him look his crime in the face...his daughter....and feel what she felt no remorse. If people could learn the feelings and everything of the crime they commit a different outtake may come about and either they lost their life on their own account or they learn the lesson of their wrongs. Sometimes an eye for an eye is the only way. Just the truth no matter how sad..because it is.

There should be no question about this charge. Any crime against a child should always be charged to fullest. And as for 1st degree being reserved for crimes against policemen, paramedics ect. They in no way should be valued more than a baby. Any babies life cut short should be valued the same if not more than an adult, even if they serve the community. This was an innocent life. We are all sinners in some way. But not this baby. She had no chance.
