This should count as 1st degree murder as the murder DID involve torture. He burnt that poor little girl before throwing her in the river. Any child I know that can walk, would try to run out of something hot, which means he held her down with something to keep her in that fire. THAT IS TORTURE!!! This poor baby doesn't get a chance to live life again because of a father that did this. I understand he had issues, and maybe he was overwhelmed with the costs and frustrations involved for her treatment, that in no way gave him the right to take her life. If it was too much for him, he could have easily walked away from the family unit, as many father's do...they don't murder their family. He had enough sense to leave messages, he had enough sense to buy a book to help him hide out and not get caught etc. He had enough sense to know right from wrong and stop himself. This was premeditated and not "a father who lost his cool in a moment"....RIP little angel. Let's start putting people behind bars for hurting children longer than drug users!!! I can't even imagine as a parent feeling the need to harm my child.

I think what he done to that baby was horrific. He needs to spend the rest of his life behind bars.

He took an innocent life from his own child intentionally. A child he was the voice for and the protector of. If anyone every deserved to be charged with first degree murder this would be the circumstance for it.
