Single income families need to be able to survive and we are not able to afford to live in Colorado with the current contract, the company threatening to lock us out and turn in our keys this Saturday is ridiculous and it is disgusting that a company that boasts feeding the human spirit is crippling the spirit of its workers

I've worked here for two and a half years. I know how to do inventory, I've pulled 13 hour shifts, and I work my tail off for a part time job. If they only bump me up high enough in wages to satisfy the federal minimum, it'll tell me a lot about how much they value their workers.

Yes to all of this. Colorado has become too expensive to stay at these wages. When I topped out I made double minimum wage. Ever since we passed the minimum wage law, it has only made our cost of living increase, while the last contract did nothing to deal with this. If retention and "feeding the human spirit" are important to the company, we need a contract that entices people to stay on long term, and a job that will provide sustainable income for Colorado's ever increasing cost of living.

Kroger needs to stop treating us like garbage. While we are the ones that line their pockets. While having to make up for their stupid ideas that they blame on us when it comes back to bite them in the butt!
