Do we really want festering garden waste - largely leaf clearing of course at this time of year - to be rotting for months and attracting rats?

Got 3 mature oak trees in garden under council preservation order that produce large quantity of leaves in autumn. Leaves only just beginning to drop. November too early to cut regular green bin collection. Please continue schedule as in past years. Can’t understand why COVID19 should affect schedule when we go to supermarkets wearing masks!

Help I’m drowning under leaves and trees that desperately need pruning - I’ve been on crutches from Nov 19 to March 2020 so haven’t been able to do any gardening

Please resume garden waste collections. There is a massive oak tree outside my property- what am I supposed to do with all the leaves?!! Also it makes a lot of mess and clogs up the drains constantly.

Where is the evidence that you will not have enough staff. What if all businesses took this attitude.

Garden bins full already, first week of November. If there is no collection for 4 months surely we are entitled to a rates reduction as this service is not being provided.

This seems like another panic decision with little oversight. We’ve put up with a reduced service for years at a higher than ever cost to the taxpayer. Enough is enough and unless our council tax is being reduced in line with a reduced service they should continue with monthly collections. Where is the data to support a lack of manpower. If every business reduced their service lines because of the possibility of being short on labour at some point in the future then the whole country would come to a standstill. We all want to play our part in this pandemic but there is a line and public goodwill can only be pushed so far.

Please reinstate monthly garden waste collections through the winter months. What are we to do with Autumn leaves falling at a regular rate and with still a few weeks before all have fallen. We have had no notice of this proposal which is totally unsatisfactory.

Its not just the garden waste its the street sweeper too. The street sweeper comes maybe only once during the autumn and when it does come, it either only goes to Bishops walk or Bishops ave/ Vaughan ave and its too early as most of the cars have not left for work! Could we have a text or email to say when its coming and what time?

As an elderly person without access to private transport this new arrangement means I have no means of clearing garden refuse.

It is important that CC continue to provide a monthly collection for garden waste as although it is winter there is a great deal of garden waste that needs to be removed.

my green bin was emptied last week. After 5 days it is already nearly full with leaves and the largest trees in my garden will continue to drop leaves for at least another month. Taking bags of leaves to a recycling depot does not seem to be an environmentally friendly solution nor a safe one during time
