There can be no substantive justification for stopping garden waste collections completely over the winter months. Collections have already substantially reduced and ct has continued to increase.

To help prevent fly tipping this is an essential service.

This is a very important service and allowing us as residents to spend time in and maintain the garden especially given we are in local lockdown and likely to be for the foreseeable future. A number of our neighbours are elderly and spend significant time in the garden maintaining and the green bins service is crucial to them. A monthly service is the request which is reasonable given our current circumstances.

No sense to stop this service during winter. Still produce garden waste - leaves etc. Monthly collection is ideal.Saves unnecessary travel.

The garden produces alot of waste at this time of year. A monthly collection would be very helpful.

I am afraid it makes no sense to stop this for 4 months. They are opening a Tip Shop at Lamby Way - seem to have time for that.

Understand once a month during the winter but it can't be less regular than that

At start of lockdown in March RCT continued to collect green waste when Cardiff opted to safe money instead at our expense. Not acceptable!

Trying to keep our green space tidy in winter is hard enough without restrictions like this!

What am I supposed to do with my garden waste for 5 months? Put it in my black bin? If so will these collections be more frequent?

I think it is very poor of CCC to pull the plug on garden waste collections at the time of the year (autumn) that produces the most garden waste. Do I get a council tax rebate for the lost months?

We have a large garden and some years fortnightly collections would be preferable all year round.

As well as reducing the number of trIt’s to the dump allowed. Where is the science for this decision?

we have a big garden & lots of hedges and trees which need cutting as we avoided it due to lots of birds nesting. we need to have bins collected

Much better 1 per month. I still have lots of trees yet to drop leaves plus the autumn pruning to do! Will have lots to get rid of after last proposed collection in Oct.

I have lots of trees yet to drop their leaves as do my neighbours. Plus there is the autumn pruning. I need at least two more collections not just one. Better to go monthly and include the Christmas tree collection in this.

Monthly is doable and acceptable do not put Council Tax paying citizens into situations where garden waste is difficult to dispose or particularly with bonfire night fast approaching how irresponsible

Yes I agree the garden waste should be collected through the winter months.
