Continue with Garden Waste Collections in Cardiff

The leaves and other annual tidying need to be taken away not encourage thoughtless flytipping

My garden gets covered every autumn with leaves from surrounding trees. I need at least a monthly collection.

Can I have a reduction in my council tax please as you do less and less but increase council tax year on year, joke.

A monthly service is needed at the very least. Not every household has a garage/shed where waste can be stored.

The leaves from the council owned trees cause me to fill more bins in Oct/Nov, than any other time of the year

Short sighted approach yet again by council. Green waste will just be put in black bins or "fly-tipped"

This is a silly move. There's no need to collect recycling weekly, when that could occasionally slip to fortnightly, and not collect green waste at all. So much for the carbon neutral by 2035 plan!

Plenty of time to cut back greenery during potential lockdown, no room to store shrub cuttings, don't want to compost thorny brambles/shrubs, weather/light/family life limits opportunities in the garden.

There is waste to remove, I don’t pay any less so service should continue! More fly tipping as a consequence??

I have read the comments by the Council supporting their action but consider this totally unacceptable.

Just a money saving exercise by CCC using the excuse of Covid. We've had too much change in rubbish collection. I often wonder what my council tax is actually used for! I Want to be abe to maintain my garden whilst I have the spare time during lockdown!

I understand the difficulties that the council face. But this smacks of a money saving exercise. Will that reflect in a reduction of my council tax?

So Michael Michael wants to concentrate on keeping the city clean, he's full of green waste!! They can't keep the streets clean in normal times, come and view the number of drains that are silted up through neglect in the Canton area, Mr Michael.

With lockdown and travel restrictions working on the garden is my only release to help with my wellbeing. I also worry there may be contamination of black bin collection with green waste if people get desperate.

Waste will just be dumped!

An essential service over autumn and winter.

We will all have piles of rotting green waste in our gardens if this decision goes ahead.
