There is a lot of garden waste in everybody's green bins. The council has withdrawn collection of green bins, and that too without any notice! Pleased do a collection once a month.

In the USA, Autumn is called “Fall”, which is a reference to what happens to the leaves of deciduous trees. Our last bin collection was on 23 September. On that date, our apple trees still had 99% of their leaves. That percentage is now around 50% and dropping rapidly. What does the council expect people to do with the fallen leaves? Keep them for six months? Put them in the black bins? Brush them down nearest drain?

No doubt as the service has been reduced our Council Tax will be reduced accordingly.

The winter months before Christmas are when we need the garden waste collection the most because of the leaf fall.

Please continue garden waste collections. It can be slippery and hazardous under foot when they can't be disposed of making it dangerous. After all the leaves are only just starting to fall

Leaving multiple full green bins with wet leaves till February doesn't seem an appropriate and caring services by our council.

This has not happened before, and I see no logical reason related to the impact of Covid-19 on waste management, while the household waste recycling site at Lamby Way is functioning regularly!! Leaving full green bins with wet leaves and broken branches that will decay and become rotten in three months, is more of a health hazard to the council workers than the coronavirus impact on waste management.

Compared to other parts of the country the service provided by Cardiff is very poor. I have three large oak trees with preservation orders, what am I expected to do with all the debris they deposit. Does it follow that we receive some form of reduction to our rates which again are very high.
