The Council fail to understand that removing garden rubbish is ecologically sensible

Due notice should have been given, Surely they could have managed a cut-off date of end of October.

The council every year asks us to clear leaves from our street.om a weekly basis we do this and put the leaves into the garden bags...what do we do now if there is no collection until next year...allow the gunnels to fill and flood with the knock on cost to the council? The council needs to think again

Leaves will still be dropping for the next few weeks. I am unable to lift a heavy bag of leaves at the recycling centre unaided

At least wait until after the leaves have dropped before stopping garden collections.. dumps are 1) hatd to get to.2) not everyone has a car 3) garden waste is messy and not car appropriate.. by not collecting the leaves its likely lots will blow away and block drains., causing flooding..

I need a monthly collection as gardening continues throughout the winter. It will lead to illegal tipping increasing and leaves pushed out into the road making paths and road conditions dangerous. Thank you

Monthly collections should not be a problem. We are paying Council Tax! Will I get a refund or reduction for missed collections?

We have continued to pay full council tax when a lot of our services are cut. There’s so many out of work people at the moment if staff are affected by the current situation then hire temporary ones.

So where shall I put my garden waste? You are just encouraging fly tipping and that won’t relieve pressure on services! Why do you need to relieve the pressure? You have the same workforce!

our house has a lot of trees around and a lot of foliage comes down. Don't see the logic of stopping it. Who is making all this stupid decision.

It is totally unreasonable to completely stop garden waste collections when this is the period when there is most garden waste

Leaves have not yet really to start to fall. Oak trees are the last sometimes into December. As with no real seasons anymore, things just grow all year round. Safer to have bin collection than people start to have fires again in gardens

Too early to stop our garden waste collection on 20 October as still plenty of work going on that needs collection.

I think it is important to remove and discard leaves etc during Autumn and Winter, therefore I feel a monthly collection is important.
