It's not fair for the football players, cheerleaders, and band members to completely lose or have their scholarships reduced by the lose of the program. Football is essential to band. Football games are what give band the majority of their funding. Without football, the band program will probably end as well or lose so much of its funding that will reduce its scholarships so low no one will want to be in band.

I don't understand why they want to take away such a big part of student life on campus. This will very negatively impact the university including other sports. Think of the athletes and other students that will lose their scholarships as well. Terrible decision. Respect UAB!

STOP ALLOWING THE BIASED BOARD IN TUSCALOOSA TO MAKE DECISIONS FOR UAB. WHY DOES THE UNIVERSITY THAT RAKES IN THE MOST REVENUE NOT GET EQUAL SAY IN THEIR AFFAIRS, INCLUDING THE FOOTBALL PROGRAM? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. IT'S BAD ENOUGH UAB FOOTBALL HAS TO WORK IN THE IMMENSE SHADOW OF UAT FOOTBALL WITHOUT HAVING TO FIGHT THEIR OWN BOARD FOR RESPECT.

I attended UAB for 6 years between my undergrad and graduate degrees. UAB is a wonderful institution that deserves a football program, and a new Board of Trustees.

Why would UAB be dropped just as the program is turning the corner and is Bowl eligible.
