Keep the program and develop it to the fullest, it is on the rise and I think needs the chance to shine.

This is about more than football. Think about the kids in the band, the students having a team to get behind, the coaches who put in the work to get the team to a bowl game.

Let's keep a good thing going. It would have beenna much bigger and better program by now if the BOT would put some faith and money into the program.

UAB as an individual school should have a right to determine its status in football, not be told by a group who has never supported the program in the slightest. Go Blazers. Free UAB

Need more investment for all sports, but football can certainly help if approached the correct way and not in this political way.

UAB is a solid program that is no doubt on the rise. If Alabama is afraid of them becoming nationally prominent, then why doesn't the Crimson Tide schedule them? The answer - because they just might get beaten. It may not be likely, but ask that LSU team how dangerous a team like UAB can be on a soggy field during a homecoming contest in Baton Rouge. Football programs and athletics in general is the face of any university. Try getting 25,000 or 30,000 people gather on a Saturday afternoon to watch a chemistry experiment. To borrow a line from The Bad News Bears...let them play!!!
