I remember the first game when UAB played Auburn on Aug 31, 1996. I was there. Auburn treated us with the most awesome respect. It was a wonderful day. I am so hurt and disappointed that this is happening. I love UAB and am so proud to be a Blazer.

I am an alumni of UAB and want to see the football program saved! Coach Clark and the guys have played their hearts out and the ramifications of this decision reach far beyond just the football program. Go Blazers!

This school, those coaches, and those players have worked their butts off way too much to have their sport, their jobs, and their dreams taken away from them.

I'm not a UAB student, but I am one at a school of similar stature at South Alabama and it makes me sick to hear this news! I detest the whole University of Alabama and especially there no good Board of Trustees. I'm fully behind whatever it takes keep this team alive and overrule those a-holes in Tuscaloosa!
