University of Tennessee alumnus signing in support of the petition: UAT has no right dictating UAB's future direction in either athletics or academics. The Knoxville campus does not direct Martin, Memphis, or Chattanooga in its operation. The same should apply to UAB in its relationship with Tuscaloosa.

My daughter plays softball for UAB and the threat against the football team makes us fear for all our athletics! Obviously being successful and having the highest attendance ever isn't enough! Very disappointed in the lack of leadership and concern for our students and growth of our university!

I understand that everything is about money, but the administration should be honest and up front with UAB family. The president should at least make a statement.

Keep UAB Football and extend Coach Clarks contract for the hard work and dedication he's exhibited. Don't quit the football program that's a bad example to kids. Are we all supposed to quit when things get tough?
