I'm not a graduate or a student of UAB, but I do reside in the Birmingham area. UAB needs to break ties with Alabama! You all would do much better running as your own university!

I attended UAB for my undergraduate and graduate programs. I had a friend that played football at UAB. I also have a friend whose daughter is on the dance team. This program needs the same support in our state that all the other schools have received. This coach has turned this program around. Please continue to support all of the student athletes, cheerleaders, and band members. Those scholarships impact students lives who otherwise would not be able to attend college.

Go Blazers! I just hope that the president of UAB really thinks thru the impact that canceling the football program will have on the entire UAB student body. So many other sports and school programs will be affected - so many students scholarships in jeopardy.
As a parent who has watched the football program for the past three years, it is amazing how the program has grown. It's just been waiting for the right coach to really believe in it. The energy at the games this year has been incredible. I went to the Southern Miss game in Hattiesburg and UAB had almost as many fans as them. It breaks my heart to see how hard this program and their supporters have worked to achieve bowl eligibility and then this is what they are faced with when they get home - there should have been a campus celebration not students protesting to keep their program.
Go Blazers - Keep up the fight!

Let them have their football team. It is good for Birmingham, and it is good for the University there.
