Taking away football will not only be detrimental to students but it will be sad for alumni if we do not have homecoming to look forward to as a time to definitely come back and show support.

Enough is enough! UA trustees having been holding the reins of UAB too long. UAB's standard of excellence has been too quiet in the shadow of UA. So many students have gone on to make a difference in the world. Football is one of those things that can connect the present to the past and attract alumni dollars and the familial pride that generation might follow generation in attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The football program and Conference USA is a valuable asset to the Birmingham area and to the State of Alabama.

The UA BOT needs to free UAB to raise money and run it's own football program. UAB athletics means to much to the school and the city of Birmingham along with other surrounding cities!! Let UAB RUN ITS OWN PROGRAM!!!

UAB football means too much to the overall well-being of Birmingham and the state of Alabama. They have proven they belong and need our full support!
My daughter just enrolled at UAB thid fall and she is saddened to hear about UAB Football and the potential of losing the undergraduate program as well.

UAB college life is the only thing keeping downtown Birmingham alive. Destroying the college experience means the death of this city.
