As a former music student I had several friends who were on scholarships through the athletic department to play in the marching band. By discontinuing the football program you will not only be affecting the lives of the athletes, but other students as well. Please don't allow one man's vendetta destroy these lives.

Birmingham needs this and UAB and their students need this football program. The athletes and coaching staff have worked hard to build this program.

I am an alumni. If the school expects the alumni to donate and support the school, then they need to listen to us. I teach high school students. Several of my students have attended UAB because of the stories I told them about my experiences there. I will not continue to refer students to a college that doesn't support student life.

Go Blazers! I am an Alumni class of 98 and I remember when the program started. Let's not quit or give up on the players just yet. If you consider the massive reach of people that UAB touches, the football program could and should be an integral part of the campus culture. There are but few social activities for the students at this urban campus and football is one of them. why doesn't the university tell the aums and employees when the game is and market that? U see tons of information about buildings and medical advancements but nothing about the athletics so much.....that is sad since 1 in 33 people in the entire state of alabama are affiliated with UAB. I mean, most classroom doors open to the street and not a quad...make this football program a priority and it will be even more successful that it already is....please keep the blazers alive!
