It would be a shame if the UAB program was dropped. Instead of the administration giving up, they should actively be looking for ways to keep the progrma.

Definitely an unfair decision! These guys were coming around. Heck, we made a bowl this year! We were up and coming and going in the right direction. I'm sure the president is ending a family. It's more than football. #freeUAB

I think it is a terrible thing that has been done to those boys and coaches who worked so hard to build the football program to where it is now and have it taken away this way is heartbreaking. Shame on you President Watts and the board. My daughter is set to attend UAB on a softball scholarship and we are afraid the softball program could end up like the football program and be gone with very little notice.

1981 grad of UAB. Very disappointed in this decision. Currently have a nephew attending on a marching band scholarship who will be effected by this drastic decision.

There's no way there's not enough money to keep funding the program. I know the university isn't hurting money wise

No matter what choices are made at UAB the students should be involved. Why? Because at if we are to look at UAB as a business then we must look at the entire scope as such. If you have no consumers i.e. you students then you the business i.e. UAB will make no profit. To move forward with such endeavors quite frankly is poor business.
