UAB Class of '85, lived in what was then twin towers on campus dorm. I demand that Dr. Watts step up & declare there will be a UAB football team in the future, & not just give lip service that it would be inappropriate to comment on this issue before "the data is analyzed". Be a leader & step up & have a vision for UAB athletics. It will bring national prominence to our school, increase our exposure thereby increasing growth at UAB. Don't look back, Look Forward! Great opportunity awaits us, grab hold of it & seize the future for us. Jay Shaw, Greensboro, NC- GO BLAZERS !!

President Watts, do not shut down the football program. Brian Mackin, I hope the President fires you and hires an AD for half of your $300k+ salary.

My family has been a part of UAB for 25+ years, as an employee, student, alumni, and retiree. We have been proud to watch the football program transform this year under Coach Clark! Go Blazers! It is unconscionable that the UAB family is STILL dealing with a board that does not have our best interests at heart. Free UAB!

UAB is stronger than anyone else thinks and this season should prove that. We are the underdog who constantly gets up after being knocked down. True passion and determination is evident, not just this season but all others passed. I am a proud blazer and never care about AL or AU football.

Do not deprive other athletes who could not make UA or Auburn football rosters a chance to shine at a Division 1 Football progam. Do the right thing BOT and let us have our football program. Go Blazers!!!! Proud Alumnus and supporter.

pitiful to believe a potentially great opportunity for so many young adults to represent their school, recruit top athletes and musicians and assist in broadening UAB's is being reviewed to cancel. This is the South, we support football and it takes a community to help. c
UAB will be bowl eligible this year
