The fact that UAB is a smaller university with EVERYTHING (aka a football team) larger universities have drew me to UAB in the first place. Get rid of this and enrollment will go down. One may think that the smartest students here don't care about football, but I assure you that they do.

I am in my first year at UAB and I truly enjoy watching the Blazers play football. Getting rid of this program will be a major mistake and will have nothing but negative effects.

I'm a UAB alum and Blazer fan. The football program is an important part of the college experience, and if the program is dissolved it could hinder undergraduate recruiting, and it could have a negative impact on the other sport if Conference USA subsequently drops the school. Do the right thing for the University. Keep the football program alive!
