I support the UAB program. I am a fan of UAB and the University of Alabama but I am sick of "Teddy Bear Bryant" constantly trying to tear down UAB. In my opinion, UAB has finally gotten someone in place like Coach Clark that can carry the program to new heights. UAB needs the facilities to upgrade the program but that is never passed by the trustees. Now that supporters of UAB is trying to get a program together to help the university and then all of a sudden here comes the talk of shutting the program down. Anyone with any foresight could see that if UAB got upgraded facilities and especially an on campus stadium that would help increase attendance and be a boost to the Birmingham economy then they could be successful BUT they would never be a threat to the University of Alabama if that is what "Teddy Bear" is worried about.

This blatant injustice cannot be allowed to stand. It is disrespectful to UAB, it's students, athletes and the city of Birmingham.

We diehard UAB football fans have something in place to be excited about. A great young energetic Head Coach who has rejuvenated excitement & not to mention a great FIRST season! Just when it looks as if UAB has a potentially very bright future ahead(bowl games competing for conference titles, new stadium etc.), the Alabama board of trustees want to kill it?! Stop this nonsense immediately! UAB is not in competition in any way. They belong to conference USA not the SEC! This is Birmingham's team! Give the city & university to have something to support! Sign Coach Bill Clark to a multi-year contract so he can recruit! Let the city of Birmingham have something to support & a bright future ahead! GO BLAZERS! GO BLAZERS! SIG

UH fan here, hate seeing this happen for any program!
Don't give up on UAB football. The students need it, the marching band needs it, the city needs it! Let Bill Clark have time to get the Blazers on track. I think he's doing a great job.
