As an alumni & supporter of UAB's evolution from extension classes to a truly comprehensive university, I feel it is imperative the football program be given an honest chance to succeed. We've had half-hearted investments & inadequate hirings of coaching staffs in the past. The time has come for Birmingham & UAB to have a football program of our own, and not be dependant on Alabama, Auburn, Birmingham-Southern or Samford for athletic excitement & entertainment. Eventually a strong athletic program spearheaded by Blazer Football could reap great financial rewards for the school & city without greatly impacting the University of Alabama, because many of us hold dual loyalties to both campuses.

I worked at UAB in 2002-2004, with the football team. I am a firm believer that the program should exist and should continue to build their impact in the city of Birmingham and state of AL. Bill Clark is obviously on the right track with this program and should be afforded the opportunity to continue the job.

This program means so much to the City of Birmingham and surrounding areas. You haven't understand that this organization has helped so many individuals and families especially for the players and also band members.

This whole thing is absurd! This program has struggled and people have worked hard to make it successful. They've earned the right to have a football program for the students and alumni.

UAB Football is part of who I am in Sydney, Australia. I was welcomed into Coach Clark's program by Coach Woodfin to contribute to UAB football. Football inspires the community of Birmingham. UAB football not only stands for pride and loyalty, it lives up to these virtues every single day.
