Dropping the program doesn't only affect the lives of the coaches, players, and football staff. It also affects the lives of employees of UAB Athletics, media members who cover UAB football, fans, students, etc. My family is included in this group of people who would be negatively affected by the heartless expulsion of UAB Football.

I attended what I think might have been UAB's first football game. I remember going to Samford's field and us playing the Samford JV team. I was also at Jordan Hare when we played Auburn. Great memories from a great program that is much needed.

UAB Football is not only loved in Birmingham,AL,it is also loved throughout Central Alabama. Losing this is like losing a family member.

Grew up an Auburn fan, so already had a keen contempt for the aristocrats ot UAT. In decades past, they also thought that a 'Cow College' shouldn't have a football team either. Now that our older son is a Lifetime Marching Blazer & former Drum Major, and our younger son is there on academic scholarship in BME, and playing on the Rugby Team (no injuries yet, PTL), our disdain for them grows stronger and stronger with each passing day.I would call for all Auburnites to also stand up for UAB.

As a coach/teacher/administrator of 35 years, it is my opinion that personal agendas that damage kids are dispicable.

We have to keep the football team, it would be asinine to ditch a program like this!

Collegiate football has been shown to increase enrollment. Villinova is just one example. Attendance would double with an on campus stadium, go no further and check out the Barons attendance once they opened their facility.

As a student and future alumni, I hope this may swiftly be resolved!

This is bigger than a UAB issue. UAB football is beneficial to all of Birmingham and should be supported by all!

Blazer grad x3. Worked there for 14 years. Was there for the beginnings, and will fight to the end to preserve what we struggled so hard to get. We are GREEN. we are UAB.
