As an alumnus of UAB this is a very disheartening development. UAB not only needs a football team but a vibrant stadium located on campus. Sadly the UA Board of Trustees and its puppets like Ray Watts will never allow that to happen. Remember the Jimbo Fisher potential coach signing for more proof over this thumb squishing by UAT.

Love UAB Football - I cheered there and worked in athletics for many years, My husband played football and that is where we met, We both had some great memories from UAB. We strongly agree that it an asset to the school and community.

I am a retired Professor of Nursing. I have been involved n atletics since the first men's basketball game with continous season tickets. I am also involved with Women's bsketball. When the football team bagan I was excited and have been involved continually since that time. Although I have moved to the Nashville area one of my most exciting fall activities is to get up early on Saturdays and drive to Birmingham to see the Blaxers play football. I was so excited to witness their progress this year. We have a great coaching staff. My dreams were shattered for future progress when Dr. Watts eliminated the program. I am so sad. My hope is that he will have a change of heart and make it possible for those involved to play football, play instruments, dance and cheer during future fall days. MLH

Fund the Undergrad side of UAB fairly,and I hope one day UAB has it's own BOT,then maybe they can get an on campus football stadium!

This program is about more than numbers - which have been reported incorrectly. It affects enrollment and student life. Bring it back.

Since there is such an outpouring of financial assistance being offered, it would seem wise to revisit the decision. This is going to impact a greater number than just the three sports being targeted.

I support UAB Football, Rifle and Bowling and the scholarships they provide for students to attend college and further their education!
