This is not just about UAB football. This can be a trickling effect for other things at UAB as well. Football needs to stay alive at UAB and be separated from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa (UAT).

The reason i love UAB is because of its DIVERSITY. UAB athletic brings students the sense of belongings. Sportsmanship taught us to Never Give Up and the importance of teamwork and so many more values in life. If football is eliminated, even with improving records to being bowl eligible, other sports would easily fall under the similar situations. It is also about other programs involved, such as the marching band, majorettes, color guards, the dance team etc. Without the program, UAB and the city of Birmingham loses how diversity was defined at the very beginning.

This school is the probably the best school have toured and one I may be calling home soon. They work hard and deserve to have all the programs they have. Many will more than likely leave if the program is taken away and that's not okay. Keep UAB football!

The state school needs to leave the city school alone. Play UAB in a buy game each year. Their med school pays alot for Alabama

this is an arrogant move. It's time to split UAB from the UA System.

My son was considering attending in 2015 but will choose another school if there is no marching band

i have been involved with HS athletes for over 30 years and this will hurt many many dreams of young people who want to be apart of college athletics. I urge you to take a positive stand now and do the right thing for UAB.
