",,,give in to a few, David?" Do you mean the "few" in Judge Yessayan's court and his staff? What is it that you don't GET? The town officials article was declared NULL & VOID.....LEGALLY. Is the kool-aid so sweet, that you find nothing wrong about what some town officials did to the taxpayers. They incurred thousands of dollars in unnecessary legal fees because they were too afraid to seek a formal ruling from the DOR or an INDEPENDANT COUNSEL!

"...how a few can dictate for the masses." I would say that 150 or so folks at the second night of a town meeting representing about 2% of Norwell's voters, being asked to vote an an ILLEGAL funding Article that the court has ruled NULL & VOID is a stellar example of trying an end run around the "masses."

Marybeth, I defy you to go back to the very same video that Judge Yessayan viewed of the May 5, 2015 Annual Town Meeting and then see if you can actually discern whether or not the vote was in favor. If in fact it was, the voice vote was so close, that it was almost impossible to determine. That said however, if the vote required a 2/3rd majority like all other money articles or Prop 2/12 overrides, you and everyone else knows it would have failed. Bear in mind that it wasn't the group of ten who challenged the funding source that subverted our democracy, it was the flim-flammers who got a little too cute in trying to put one over on the voters and taxpayers but calling a tomato, a watermelon. In any case, why not put the entire project to a townwide vote and let the entire town decide just like repeal of the CPA. I suggest that you and others are just too afraid to do so fearing the outcome.

Safer for babies in strollers, runners/walkers, dogs, cyclists. Please install these sidewalks!

I think it's critical that the Board of Selectmen recognize that the majority of attendees at Town Meeting voted in favor of this project. The court's interpretation of the CPA as a funding source, does not change that.

Sidewalk whether for recreation or safety are important. It is a shame that a few can dictate for the masses. They have their own agenda whether right or wrong it is not in the towns best interest or representative of the people's feelings . We voted for it

What is so shameful about a court of law proving that town officials concocted a term and manipulated taxpayers into voting for something, the funding of which was ILLEGAL? Is it democratic to place an Article before voters that a court has ruled NULL ANDF VOID? If you feel the democratic process was reversed unfairly, than tell your town officials to be honest and forthright next time. You'll save lots in legal fees!!

This project is a must ! It will benefit us all ! Let's not give in to a few !

Help make this town more dynamic, healthy, and thriving as a community.

Sidewalks, as well as a reduction in the speed limit along Main Street, would be welcome.

This is so important for our young and older community! It's promotes fitness for all ages!

The project will enhance the community and increase property values.

We need a sidewalk on Main Street

We voted for these at town meeting! It's shameful a handful can reverse the democratic process. Sidewalks benefit all citizens!

We utilize the current pathway now and would like to see it continue along Main St.

I am 100 percent in favor of sidewalks on Main St. Walking is recreational and should be encouraged.
