Eye sore considering the location

This project is a terrible eyesore for our neighborhood. It is difficult for us to undertand how it got as far as it did, but there is still time. It should be torn down completely and replaced with some land use that is appropriate for and in keeping with the neighborhood.

They are not at all in keeping with the rural nature of the neighborhood

This should not have been allowed in our scenic corridor.

I own the propertay at 1292 Moon Mountain Dr. It's been depressing and agrivating to see what's happened on that corner..

This project, and it's crew/developers, have been dubious from the start. I ask the county to not grant this project variances to continue construction, and to uphold the importance of designing and building suitable structures within our scenic corridor and community.

I was unhappy to see a project like this started, the fact that construction has been stopped and the project will come down is reassuring.

Truly atrocious. As a licensed GC, I can return that lot to it's original state within two weeks. See AnthonySage.com for further details.

The fact that there has already been a great deal of fraud associated with this project already, I believe the unfinished project should be torn torn and the lot cleaned up.

I have lived in this neighborhood for over 15 years. This development is in violation of building codes as well as being an absolute eye sore. What more needs to be said? Please tear this construction down and redesign something that is more compatible with the neighborhood.

I hope this petition and community discussion process will stimulate development of Sonoma County enforceable guidelines to protect the Sonoma Scenic Corridor from developments out of character with the area. There are many examples of communities throughout the country that have retained their charm with guidelines in place for new construction to ensure compatibility with an existing community. The time has come for Sonoma residents and community representatives to define the future of the Sonoma Scenic Corridor with a more robust corridor protection program and project proposal review process. With existing and new construction review process in place to evaluate proposed projects before the permit application process, the situation with the Moon Mountain project that represents a curiously inappropriate development could have been avoided.

I look forward to a timely solution to this obvious problem.

This project really was not planned in the context of what the community needs or what the gateway to the Sonoma Valley should look like, leaving the Springs. I know we have support from our local Supervisor and the broader community. After working through difficult issues with the prior proposed development, its time do this right. Tear it down and start over.
