We,the tenants of the mart haltwhistle feel we are being neglected time after time when our street floods due to prolonged rain or flash flooding.the drainage system has still not being cleaned out after 3 floods,2 being serious and flooding properties on the mart,we want northumberland county council to act now in partnership with haltwhistle town council,home group,our housing authority and the relevant authoritys to address this problem of flooding on the mart and surrounding homes,everyone pays there rates therefor should be looked after instead of being pushed from pillar to post every time it floods.there are a lot of elderly people in this area who cannot cope any more,this issue needs addressed sooner rather than later,we have a housing authority in home group who moved all there tenants back into properties with no flood defences whatsoever,it seems this organisation are happy to take rent with false promises of flood doors and flood vents,something needs to be done now,not good enough.
