As a resident of this neighbourhood, it excites me to think of the opportunities the Bridal Studio would bring. With its close proximity to downtown, this shop would add to the diversity and services Downtown Guelph can offer. Seeing the recent renovations on what used to be a local eyesore has made this corner far more appealing. Sixpence Bridal Studio will contribute to Guelph's commitment of creating a downtown that everyone can live, work and play in. This meets the current strategies of the City and will demonstrate the City's desire to encourage business owners to reinvest in Guelph's heritage buildings and overall community improvement. As a resident, I do not foresee any issues with completing a minor variance amendment and do not believe the City would be setting a risky precedent.
