Marvel Studios is going to release the Black Panther movie on July 6, 2018. Director Ava DuVernay was a leading contender for the project, but Ave explained that her idea and Marvel Studio's idea for the character were quite different, therefore she is no longer tagged as the director for this project. I think that Marvel Studio's should consider Forest Whitaker to direct this film. Forest has a number of great films that he's directed under his belt and I believe that he would be able to bring this character to life in Marvel's cinematic universe. I want to get 1000 signatures for this petition and send it to Marvel Studios asking them to consider Forest Whitaker to be the director for the Black Panther Movie Project.
