I am shocked that women are being criticised for raising concerns about their safety and that this is equated with transphobia. I fear the loss of single sex spaces, particularly in hospitals, refuges and prisons.

I am Scottish and a Conservative supporter. I know that our First Minister is introducing self ID and I disagree with this wholeheartedly. I am hoping that by signing this petition the Scottish Government will realise that this policy is wrong and will change course.

The sex of a person is a biological fact which is incontrovertible and protected under the Equality Act. The Conservative party - indeed all political parties - must recognise the difference between sex and gender, which is a human construct liable to manipulation by biological (and intact) males to access women-only spaces and activities. Women's rights are human rights and must be protected.

It is not OK for a male bodied individual to change or shower next to teenage girls. SELF ID allows this. This is abuse and must be stopped.

Haven’t spoken to anyone in favour of the policy but many were unaware before I started my rant! More publicity needed. For starters, the party could have emailed us about the existence of your group!
