This Consensus Statement relating to Aboriginal Title and Rights was adopted by the Chiefs-in-Assembly in July 2011. It speaks to the continuing title and rights that we have to our lands and territories, and rejects Canada’s policy of denial that is embodied in its Comprehensive Claims Policy. Chiefs and leaders were invited to sign their names on this Consensus Statement when it was first adopted in July 2011 – others are now invited to add their names online.
