Connor should be allowed to play baseball with kids is own age. Biologically it would be dangerous for him to play older children who are potentially stronger than he is, not mention that he may not make the time in the high school level as he isn't as experienced as the older kids.

Last time I checked, schools were supposed to be all about kids. Boards are supposed to represent the kids and what’s best for them. I don’t know where this was lost, but I’d be going over them and speaking with the state. Best of luck to you!! I hope he plays with his peers!

This is just unethical. Let the boy play, his academic intelligence doesn’t change his age. I’m sure he is already feeling misplaced being in a school with older kids.
Let him grow as a teen and with a team!

Connor should have the opportunity to play with kids his own age, for physical safety, as well as being in a socially and emotionally healthier environment. He should not be penalized for his academic achievements.

It would be unfair to expect a thirteen year old to play against larger kids, who are more developed young men. Not only is it unsafe but he cannot keep up with their abilities. It would be discouraging and demoralizing to ask him to compete with kids who are literally "out of his league". He should be playing against his own age group where he can compete and grow at the appropriate level. Common sense.

He deserves to play at his age level! He is doing great academically and that is so wonderful, but that does not mean socially he should be pushed to be with the older kids. Let him develop with his peers socially and do the right thing by him.

Please ! Please ! Please ! Take the necessary steps to not punish this child for having excelled at his book learning.
If a child is held back making his biological age a year or two higher than the majority of the rest of the players and is allowed to play, then a child who has moved ahead a year or two should also be able to play. The child that was held back has the potential to be at a physical advantage over the other players.
The way the guidelines are written did not look at the bigger picture. It only addressed children being held back.
