He should not be discriminated because he’s academically ahead of his age group and should be allowed to play with players at his age group without any questions about his academic success.

And we wonder why kids get in trouble. Our not allowing him to participate is unacceptable

If you don’t let Connor play with his peers you are only teaching him that to advance in life is a negative thing. He should be so proud of himself that he is doing so well academically but now all he’s feeling is punished for it. That’s sad. Let the boy play with his friends and leave the politics out of it.

Level of play should be determined by birth year, not grade!

Unfair to punish a child who has worked so hard to be intellectually beyond his peers, yet is still the same age as his peers.

Its hard to believe this is even a problem. I sure hope they do the right thing and let Connor play with the kids his own age. Its a matter of safety

Grade status should not matter... He is age-appropriate to be able to play with his peers

Age is a much more even field than grade level.

The date of birth is & should be in this instance the guideline to follow to allow this student to play baseball with his age group & physical peers.

I am 100% behind this petition! This is not only my opinion as a parent of 2 boys, but it is my professional opinion as a physical education teacher of middle school and high school students for 38 years and a coach!
